Suggestions for purchase from library members are welcomed by Clarence Regional Library. Should you like to make a suggestion for purchase, please fill in our online Request Form (using your library barcode number found on your library card and PIN) or visit your nearest library (NB: Remember to select ‘Purchase’ on the online form).
Your suggestion will be considered on broad merit appeal, content, adherence to our Collection Development Policy guidelines and current budgetary restrictions.
Preference is given to titles published within the last 12 months and there is no restriction to collection – fiction or non-fiction.
Placing a suggestion for purchase is not a guarantee that the item will be purchased and due to the large volume of requests received we are unable to respond with individual updates for each suggestion received.
Should a suggested title be declined, you can always try to obtain the item through our Inter Library Loans service for a small administation fee. A short message indicating that the request has been denied will be attached to your library membership details which you can access by Login to My Library or visiting your nearest library.
When a suggested item is ordered, a reservation is automatically placed on it for you.
