Your Library Account

Access your library account online using your membership card number and password through the online catalogue or for easy access download the Clarence Regional Library App onto your phone/tablet.

If you don’t have a password setup, ask library staff about this next time you visit the library.

Log into my account

Once logged in, you can:

  • View current loans
  • Reserve library items
  • Renew items you have on loan
  • View your overdue items
  • View family linked accounts
  • Download eBooks, eAudiobooks & eMagazines onto your phone or tablet
  • Place requests for information and inter library loans
  • Setup and maintain your Alert Profiles (email notifications of new items of interest to you)
  • View current charges and charges/payment history
  • View messages on your account
  • Change your contact details and password
  • Create Saved Pick Lists for items you would like to borrow at a later date

How long can I borrow an item?

Most items have a loan period of 4 weeks, with the option to renew twice.

Heavily reserved items have a reduced loan period of only 2 weeks, with no renewals.

How many items can I borrow?

You can borrow up to 30 items at a time.

Those with reciprocal or temporary membership can only borrow up to 6 items at a time.

Placing a reservation for an item

You can place reservations on items from our library catalogue or on the Library App.

The limit is 20 reservations per card at any one time.

To place a reservation on an item:

  1. Search for the title you would like to reserve.
  2. Select the Place Reservation button.
  3. Enter your borrower ID and password if you are not already logged in.
  4. Select the location from which you would like collect the item.
  5. Select the item you would like to reserve.  
  6. You will be advised if there are any charges or problems with your reservation.
  7. If the reservation is successful you will see the status of your reservation which includes your current rank in the waiting list for the title.
  8. You will be notified by SMS, email or by post when your reserved item is available for pick up.

Renew items

Items can be renewed twice

  • as long as another borrower has not placed a reservation on the item
  • number of allowable renewals have not been exceeded
  • item is not already overdue

Loans will be automatically renewed 3-days before the due date.

Or, you can log into your account to renew items.

  1. Login in and access the dashboard.
  2. Select the tile to display all Current loans.
  3. If you want to renew individual loans select by ticking the checkbox for each loan you would like to renew then click Renew Selections, under the Options menu.
  4. If you want to renew all your current loans, click Renew All, under the Options menu.
  5. Now please wait while the system processes your selections.
  6. Your list of loans will be returned showing the result for each renewal in the status column.
  7. Some renewals may not be successful. Please note the new due date for each loan.

Returning items

All libraries have an after-hours returns chute available for return of items.

Forgot your password

  1. Open the Login menu in the Navigation panel and select Forgot Your Password?
  2. Follow the prompts on screen.
  3. An email with a link for resetting your password will be sent to your registered email address.
  4. Please contact us if you don't have an email address.
