Suggest a Purchase

Suggestions for purchase from library members are welcomed by Clarence Regional Library.

If you would like to recommend an item to be purchased using our online form sign in using your library barcode number and Password/PIN or visit your nearest library.

Place a Suggestion for Purchase request

Your suggestion will be considered on broad merit appeal, content, adherence to our Collection Development Policy guidelines(PDF, 347KB) and current budgetary restrictions.

Preference is given to titles published within the last 12 months and there is no restriction to collection – fiction or non-fiction.

Placing a purchase request is not a guarantee the Library will purchase the item, but each will be considered individually according to the criteria stated above. We are unable to respond with individual updates for each suggestion received.

Should a suggested title be declined, you can always try to obtain the item through our Inter Library Loans service, which will incur an administration fee. A short message indicating that the request has been denied will be attached to your library membership details which you can access by Login to My Library or visiting your nearest library.

When a suggested item is ordered, a reservation is automatically placed on it for you.
